Bulldogs Fall to Local Rival Muhlenberg, 6-0

Allentown, PA (September 10, 2009) – The DeSales University women's soccer team fell behind early and was never able to recover, falling to local rival Muhlenberg College, 6-0, in a non-conference game on a soggy Thursday evening.

Muhlenberg (2-1 overall) scored three times in each half, opening up a 3-0 lead with three tallies thru the first 28:50 of the game. Kasey Hacker scored the first two goals of the game, including the first just 2:42 in and never looked back.

The Bulldogs had 14 shots as compared to 18 for the Mules and held a 5-4 edge in corner kicks, but were never able to find the back of the Muhlenberg net. Sophomore Melissa Millili (Deptford, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) made three saves in the loss for the Bulldogs.

DeSales returns to action on Saturday, September 12th when they make its home debut, hosting PSU-Altoona for a non-conference game beginning at 2:00 pm.
