Women’s Tennis Drops Second Straight, 6-3, at Arcadia

Sophomore Christine Petrilla teamed with junior Kate Steiner to stay undefeated at the No. 1 doubles spot.

Cheltenham, PA (September 16, 2009) – The DeSales University women's tennis team finally got back on the court after a 12-day lay-off between matches falling to Arcadia University, 6-3, in a non-conference match moved indoors because of the weather.

In the win junior Kate Steiner (Walnutport, PA/Northampton) stayed unbeaten in both singles and doubles as she won 8-4 at the No. 1 singles spot and teamed with sophomore Christine Petrilla (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert-Hamilton East) to win 8-6 at the No. 1 doubles spot. Petrilla also earned a singles win, 8-4, at the No. 2 spot.

DeSales is scheduled to return to action tomorrow, Thursday, September 17^th, when they host Gwynedd-Mercy College in a non-conference match beginning at 4:00 pm.
