Women’s Soccer Drops Second Straight, 3-0 at NYU

New York, NY (September 20, 2009) – The DeSales University women's soccer team lost its second straight game falling to New York University, 3-0, in a non-conference game on Sunday afternoon.

NYU (6-1 overall) out-shot DeSales (2-6 overall), 30-8, and held an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks in the win. New York took a 1-0 lead just 3:30 into the game and that score stood into the half. NYU got an insurance goal at the 63:00 mark and provided the final margin 12 minutes later.

Sophomore Melissa Millili (Deptford, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) kept DSU in the game in the first half with eight saves and finished with 14 for the game.

The Bulldogs don't return to action until Saturday, October 26th when they host Alvernia University in a non-conference game on homecoming at DeSales beginning at 1:00 pm.
