St. David's, PA (October 9, 2010) – The DeSales University field hockey team dropped its third straight Freedom Conference game, 8-1, at eighth ranked Eastern University on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (5-7, 0-3 Freedom) were out-shot, 32-9, in the game as the Eagles (12-2, 3-0 Freedom) also enjoyed a 16-7 edge in penalty corners. EU opened up a 6-0 lead in the first half before the Bulldogs were out-scored 2-1 in the second half.

Freshman Amanda Trickey (Ewing, NJ/Ewing) scored her first career goal in the loss on an assist from fellow freshman Nicole Schneider (East Lyme, CT/East Lyme). Sophomore goalkeeper Victoria DelToro (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) made 18 saves in between the pipes.

The Bulldogs will return to action and return home after four straight road contests vs. Albright College on Tuesday, October 12th beginning at 4:00 pm. LIVE Stats will be available for the game on the DSU web site.
