Center Valley, PA (February 20, 2010) – Senior Darnell Braswell (Allentown, PA/William Allen) registered his eighth double-double of the season with 19 points and 14 rebounds and in the process become the all-time leading scorer in DeSales University men's basketball history surpassing Jason Moyer's total of 1,630 career points in the Bulldogs 73-46 win over FDU-Florham in the regular season finale in Billera Hall on Saturday afternoon.

DSU (20-5, 13-1 Freedom) finishes the regular season as the #1 seed in next week's Freedom Conference playoffs and will take on the #4 seed, King's College, in the semifinal round on Wednesday night. The other semifinal game features the #2 seed Eastern University hosting #3 Misericordia University also on Wednesday night.

Today the Bulldogs led from the start opening up a 10-2 lead and after FDU got within five points (27-22), DSU used a 13-2 run over the next four minutes to take a 16-point lead (40-24). Sophomore Bob Zanneo (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) and senior Rob Schubach (Center Valley, PA/Southern Lehigh) keyed the run with consecutive three-pointers as DeSales led 42-27 at the break.

The second half was more of the same and with DeSales leading 52-32, Braswell was fouled on his way to the basket and he hit the second free throw giving him his 1,631st career point at the 13:41 mark, moving him past Moyer for the all-time scoring record. The lead peaked at 30 points (71-41) at the 3:37 mark before the final tally was posted. DSU shot 44.3 percent from the field and out-rebounded FDU, 47-29, while the Devils made just 27.8 percent from the floor.

Braswell shot 7-for-15 as he now has 1,634 career points entering the Freedom Conference playoffs. Junior Brian Hunter (Allentown, PA/Emmaus) added 14 points and Schubach also reached double figures with 11 points. Senior Charles Princiotto (Woodcliff Lake, NJ/Pascack Hills) was outstanding on the glass, pulling down a career-high 11 rebounds and dishing out four assists, while freshman Sean McPaul (Jackson, NJ/St. Rose) played well of the bench with nine points in just eight minutes of action.

FDU got 11 points each from Alex Rosario and Derek Hall off the bench as the Devils finish their season with a 4-21 overall record and a 2-12 mark in the Freedom Conference.

The Bulldogs will return to action on Wednesday when they host King's in the semifinals of the Freedom Conference playoffs. Game time is set for 8:00 pm and for those unable to attend you can follow the game's progress online via LIVE Stats or LIVE Audio.
