Sulpizio Wins Third Singles Match; Bulldogs Fall to Eastern 8-1

Junior Joe Sulpizio won his third singles match of the season on Wednesday vs. Eastern.

Center Valley, PA (April 14, 2010) – Senior Joe Sulpizio (Bath, PA/Notre Dame) won his team-leading third singles match of the season but the DeSales University men's tennis team lost for the ninth time this season, 8-1, to Eastern University in a Freedom Conference match on Wednesday afternoon.

Sulpizio was a 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (10-4) three-set winner over Josh Hall at the No. 5 singles spot. The Bulldogs fell to 0-9 overall and 0-4 in the Freedom with the loss. The Bulldogs will return to action tomorrow when they host Ursinus College in a non-conference match beginning at 4:00 pm.
