Women’s Soccer Win Streak Snapped at Four; Blanked by Catholic, 1-0

Gwynedd-Valley, PA (September 10, 2010) – The DeSales University women's soccer team saw its four-game winning streak to start the season come to an end with a 1-0 loss to Catholic University in the opening game of the Gwynedd-Mercy College Tournament this weekend.

The Bulldogs (4-0 overall) saw its scoreless streak also come to an end at 438:30 with CU's (2-1 overall) lone goal of the game at 78:30 mark. DSU had already broken the consecutive scoreless mark of 358 minutes entering the game with four shutouts over its first four games.

Junior Melissa Millili (Deptford, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) had a terrific game making 10 saves to keep the Cardinals off the board for most of the game and until the 79th minute. Millili's personal scoreless streak ended with 348:30 minutes consecutive shutout minutes to start the season.

The Bulldogs will look to get back into the win column on Saturday when they take on tournament host Gwynedd-Mercy College beginning at 10:00 am.
