Center Valley, PA (October 15, 2011) – The DeSales University women's soccer team limited Delaware Valley College to just eight shots, but the Aggies took advantage of their opportunities scoring three times in a 3-0 win over the Bulldogs in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (2-11-1, 0-4 Freedom) out-shot Delaware Valley (6-5-2, 2-2 Freedom), 18-8, but were never able to get one past DVC's Julie Burnell who made seven saves to earn the shutout win.  The Aggies scored twice in the opening half and once more 10 minutes into the second half to provide the final margin.

Junior Alex Bastinelli and freshman Michelle Churchman each made one save in 45 minutes of play each.  Freshman Ashley Koren had a team-high 5 shots, four on goal in the loss.

DeSales returns to action on Tuesday evening when they travel to Misericordia University for another Freedom Conference game beginning at 7:00 pm.
