Center Valley, PA (October 25, 2011) – Junior Victoria DelToro made 11 more saves on Tuesday afternoon but the DeSales University field hockey team was unable to find the back of the cage for the fifth straight game as the Bulldogs fell to King's College, 3-0, in the 2011 season finale.

DelToro was the story once again making several diving stops and a host of big saves to keep DSU (4-14, 1-6 Freedom) in the game all afternoon.  A scoreless game at the half, King's (12-5, 5-2 Freedom) didn't get on the board until 46:37 mark when Shawna Walp deflected a reverse stick chip shot that was about to be saved by DelToro's blocker until the re-direction.

The Lady Monarchs added two more goals in the 54th and 68th minute, both on laser shots from close range that DelToro could do nothing about.  KC finished the game with a 22-5 advantage in shots and a 14-1 advantage in penalty corners.  Senior Meg Hunter and Meghan Sibiski finished their careers with Hunter recording a defensive save in the loss.

DelToro finishes the season with 152 total saves, a team record by more than 30 saves.  She also set a single-season record with a .800 save percentage and has moved into the career lead for saves and shutouts at DeSales.
