Women’s Soccer Suffers 3-0 Defeat at Immaculata

Immaculata, PA (October 25, 2011) – The DeSales University women's soccer team was unable to get its second straight win, falling at Immaculata University, 3-0, in a non-conference game on Tuesday evening under the lights.

DeSales (3-13-1) was out-shot by just one, 8-7, and had a 3-2 edge in corner kicks, but was never able to find the back of the net in the loss.

Immaculata (7-7-2) got on the board just 7:53 into the game with a penalty kick and added tallies in the 40th minute and just 41 seconds into the second half to earn the win.

Senior Amanda Fink had a team-high three shots on goal and freshman Michelle Churchman made the only two saves in net for the Bulldogs.

DeSales returns to action on Saturday, October 29th when they wrap-up its 2011 season with it hosts FDU-Florham at Noon.
