Madison, NJ (November 30, 2011) – The DeSales University men's basketball team committed 27 turnovers leading to 20 points for FDU-Florham as the Devils opened the Freedom Conference season with a 68-51 win over the Bulldogs on Wednesday evening in the Ferguson Recreation Center.

Mike Coleman led DeSales with a team-high 15 points and senior
Bob Zanneo added 10 points as the lone players in double digits. Junior
Brett Moyer was held to just nine points, all of which came in the second half and senior
Jamey Bercier played well of the bench with eight points. Sophomore

Tom Marshall each pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.
Will Green had a monster game on the inside, totaling 20 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Devils.
Mike Williamson came off the bench to pour in 16 points, including four three-pointers, and
Adam Katz added 11 points and four assists to go along with just one turnover in the win.
A close game with 6:48 left in the first half was broken open by the hosts as FDU (1-3, 1-0 Freedom) used an 8-0 run to take a 25-16 lead and held onto that nine-point advantage into the half. DSU shot just 30.4 percent in the opening half and committed 15 of its 27 turnovers.
The Bulldogs (2-3, 0-1 Freedom) had a good start to the second half as Moyer scored the first four Bulldog points and Zanneo connected on three freebies to pull DSU within five, 32-27. The deficit remained at five with 11:56 left when FDU went on a 16-1 run that blew the game open and the Devils cruised from there.
Williamson led the charge during the game-clinching spurt, hitting three long three-pointers as FDU took a 54-34 lead and never looked back.
DeSales shot just 32.6 percent for the game, while the normally sure handed Bulldogs had just seven assists to their 27 turnovers.
DSU will look to rebound on Saturday when they return to action in Billera Hall hosting Wilkes University beginning at 3:00 pm.
