Scranton, PA (February 26, 2011) – The DeSales University men's lacrosse team opened up the 2011 season on a sour note, falling at The University of Scranton, 10-3, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

Scranton out-scored DSU, 4-0, in the first period and 3-1 in the second to open up a 7-1 halftime lead and never looked back from there. UofS out-shot DeSales 42-15 and won 14-of-17 face-offs in the win.

Leading the Bulldog attack was sophomore Jarrod Wiedow with one goal and two assists. Sophomore James Guerrier and junior Tony Fabrizio rounded out the scoring with one goal each.

Junior Brendan Guerrier picked up seven ground balls and had four caused turnovers, while senior Justin Campanelli made 11 saves in between the pipes.

DeSales returns to action on Sunday, March 6th when they face US Merchant Marine Academy at Lehigh University at 1:00 pm.
