Eastern Hands Bulldogs 16-2 Defeat in Season Finale

Sophomore Billy Marsh was a bright spot in today's Men's Lacrosse loss with five ground balls and six face-off wins.

Center Valley, PA (April 30, 2011) – Eastern University was clicking on all cylinders Saturday afternoon handing the DeSales University men's lacrosse team a 16-2 loss in the 2011 season finale for the Bulldogs on a picture perfect afternoon at DeSales.

Eastern (10-5, 9-2 MAC) scored the first 11 goals of the game and led 8-0 after one period never looking back in the win. EU had 32 shots and scored on half of them, while DeSales (3-12, 3-8 MAC) finished with 22 shots on the afternoon. Both team won 11 face-offs and the Eagles won the ground ball battle, 38-29.

Junior Tony Fabrizio and freshman Matthew Leone each scored a goal and freshman Bruce Peditto tallied an assist in the loss. Sophomore Billy Marsh was a bright spot in the loss, winning six of nine face-offs and picking up a team-high tying five ground balls. Junior Brendan Guerrier also had five ground balls. Senior Justin Campanelli finished with eight saves for the Bulldogs.
