Center Valley, PA (October 6, 2012) – Freshman Jamie Barna scored two goals in the second half leading the DeSales University women's soccer team back from a one-goal deficit at halftime for a 2-1 win in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

After King's (2-7-1, 0-2 Freedom) scored in the 10th minute to take a 1-0 lead that stood into halftime the Bulldogs took over in the second half led by Barna.

She scored her first goal of the game and second of the season at 48:01 taking a thru pass from sophomore Alyssa Brandt and scoring over the Lady Monarch keeper's head.

The game remained tied and seemed destined for overtime until Barna struck again, this time taking a pass from sophomore Alyssa Borgesi and shooting a low roller just inside the far post caroming into the net for the game-winner with 7:35 left to play.

Freshman Taylor Cowan played the entire second half in goal making four saves and not allowing a goal for the Bulldogs.

DSU returns to action on Wednesday afternoon when they travel to Wilkes University for a Freedom Conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
