Bulldogs Roll Past Rosemont, 15-2, for Second Straight Win

Center Valley, PA (March 27, 2012) – The DeSales University men's lacrosse team made it two straight on Tuesday afternoon, rolling past Rosemont College, 15-2, as 10 different players scored goals including junior Ben Krocheski with a team-high four tallies on the afternoon.

The Bulldogs (4-3) out-shot Rosemont (0-6), 38-9 and held a 48-24 advantage in ground balls.  DSU also won 16-of-21 face-offs and was 16-of-17 in clear attempts.  The Bulldogs scored on both its extra-man opportunities and forced 27 Raven turnovers.

Krocheski led the way with four goals and now leads the team with 11 goals on the season.  Junior Jarrod Wiedow, freshman Nate Blevins, and junior Nicholas Freda each scored two in the win with Wiedow adding three assists and Blevins tallying one helper.

Freshman Andrew Cox, freshman Lance Bracale, junior Brennan Gmeiner, freshman Ryan Rowse, and junior Josh Martin also scored goals in the win.  Cox, Bracale, Rowse, and junior Billy Marsh rounded out the scoring with one assist each.

Gmeiner won 9-of-10 face-offs and had four ground balls, senior Brendan Guerrier added eight ground balls and caused three turnovers, and freshman Dan O'Connell made his first career start in goal, recording six saves.

The Bulldogs don't return to action until Monday, April 2nd when they host Alvernia University in another non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
