Collegeville, PA (April 13, 2012) – Eight of the nine starters had at least two hits and the DeSales University baseball team totaled 22 hits in a 13-7 win over Ursinus College in a non-conference game on Wednesday afternoon.
Trailing 2-1 entering the fifth inning DeSales (22-11) took a 3-2 lead on RBI singles from seniors
Jason Hadinger and
Ethan Moser. The Bulldogs added five more runs in the sixth inning to take an 8-2 lead and led 10-3 entering the bottom of the eight inning when Ursinus (13-18) pulled within 10-7 before leaving the tying run at the plate as junior
David Drinks recorded the final out of the inning. DSU added three more runs in the top of the ninth inning to provide the final margin.
Moser led the offensive barrage with three hits, two runs scored, and four RBIs. Senior
Kenny Ridge and freshman
Drew Borger also recorded three hits, while Ridge also scored twice and three stolen bases. Hadinger rounded out the players with three hits and also added three RBIs in the win.

Nick Chiovitti each had two hits with Scerbo and Chrismer each scoring twice. Freshman

Tyler Harris earned his first career win, tossing two shutout innings allowing just one walk and striking out one.
The Bulldogs get a day off on Thursday before returning to Freedom Conference action on Friday when they host Wilkes University in a Freedom Conference beginning at 3:30 pm.
