Reading, PA (April 5, 2012) – Freshman
Eric Dillard fired five shutout innings in game two leading the DeSales University baseball team to a doubleheader sweep of PSU-Berks, by scores of 6-3 and 1-0, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (17-8) received several impressive pitching performances on Saturday en route to the sweep.
In the opener freshman

Trevor Connors recorded his third save of the year with a scoreless seventh.
DSU trailed 3-2 entering the fourth inning but scored once in the fourth to tie the game and three times in the fifth to earn the win.
All nine starters recorded hits including senior

Drew Borger had two RBIs and senior
Jason Hadinger scored twice in the game one win.
In the second game Dillard and fellow freshman
Tyler Harris combined on a three-hit shutout, striking out six and walking just one in a 1-0 win, the third 1-0 win for DeSales this season. It was Dillard's first career win and Harris first career save.
DSU scratched out its lone run in the third when freshman
Nick Fischer reached on an error, moved to second on a single by Borger, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a throwing error by the PSU-Berks catcher on the wild pitch.
The Bulldogs return to action on Monday when they host King's College in a Freedom Conference doubleheader to complete the three-game series between the two clubs. First pitch is set for 1:00 pm.
