Center Valley, PA (September 29, 2012) – The DeSales University field hockey team was shutout for the second straight game, falling to Delaware Valley College, 3-0, in the first Freedom Conference game of the season at home on Homecoming Saturday.

DVC (4-6, 2-0 Freedom) scored twice in the first-half to open up a 2-0 lead and added a third tally in the second-half to blank the Bulldogs (3-5, 0-2 Freedom) for the second straight game.  DSU was out-shot, 27-11, and the Aggies also held the edge in penalty corners, 13-9.

Senior Victoria DelToro did play well, making 16 saves to keep the Bulldogs in the game throughout the afternoon.

The Bulldogs waste no time returning to action, taking on Cedar Crest College at home on Monday afternoon beginning at 4:00 pm.
