Center Valley, PA (September 29, 2012) – The DeSales University women's soccer team lost for the first time in three games, falling to Eastern University, 3-0, in the 2012 Freedom Conference season opener for both teams on Homecoming Saturday.

Eastern (5-4-1, 1-0 Freedom) led 1-0 at the break after a goal in the 39th minute and quickly extended its lead to 3-0 with goals 1:56 and 3:35 into the second half.  EU held a 17-6 edge in shots and a slim 3-1 edge in corner kicks.

Senior Alex Bastinelli and freshman Taylor Cowan each made three saves in the loss.

The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, October 6th, hosting King's College in a Freedom Conference game beginning at 12:30 pm.
