St. David's, PA (October 12, 2013) – An early goal on a free kick just outside the box put DeSales in an early hole and the Bulldogs were never able to find the tying marker in a 1-0 loss at Eastern University on Saturday afternoon in Freedom Conference action.

Eastern (3-8-1, 1-1-0 Freedom) put the lone goal of the game on the board in the 14th minute when Emily Roquemore scored off a touch on a free kick just above the box to give EU a 1-0 lead that stood up as DeSales out-shot Eastern, 7-5, and held a 5-1 edge in corner kicks but was unable to find the back of the net in the loss.

Junior Michelle Churchman made three saves in the loss.

DSU gets right back to action on Tuesday when they host its first Freedom Conference game of the season on Tuesday, October 15th vs. FDU-Florham beginning at 3:30 pm.
