Dallas, PA (October 23, 2013) – Misericordia University scored three second-half goals breaking a scoreless tie at the half en route to a 3-0 win over the DeSales University women's soccer team on a chilly Wednesday evening in Freedom Conference action.

The Bulldogs hung tough with the defending conference champions thru the first 45 minutes, keeping the Cougars off the scoreboard but MU wasted no time getting on the board in the second-half, scoring just 1:08 into the period on a goal from Emily Esposito.

Megan Lannigan scored unassisted in the 51st minute and MU got a penalty kick goal from Megan Mahoney in the 63rd minute to provide the final margin.

Junior Michelle Churchman made nine saves in the loss.

The Bulldogs will look to get back into the win column on Saturday when they host Delaware Valley College in the final regular season home game beginning at Noon.
