Center Valley, PA (November 26, 2013) – Moravian College scored the final eight points of the game and held the Bulldogs to 28.9 percent shooting in the second-half leading the Greyhounds to a 69-60 win over the DeSales University women's basketball team in the annual contest between the two local rivals on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

Senior Sondrine Glovas led the Bulldogs with a team-high 18 points, fellow senior Alexiah Grant totaled 16 points, and junior Alex Suk recorded her third double-double of the season with 15 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.

Moravian got a career-high 26 points from senior Danielle Brogan and 11 points and eight boards from Katie O'RourkeAlexis Wright was held to just eight points and nine rebounds and Alesha Marcks had eight points off the bench for the Hounds.

The game was tight throughout featuring 13 ties and 16 lead changes. Neither team led by more than four points the entire first-half as the Bulldogs scored four of the final six points to take a narrow two-point lead (34-32) into the locker room.  Grant led DSU with 12 points and Brogan had 14 for the Greyhounds.

DeSales scored the first four points of the second-half to open up a 38-32 lead but back-to-back three's from Moravian tied the game for the ninth time at 44 with 12:14 left to play.

The game remained tied for the 13th and final time with 4:45 left before a free throw from O'Rourke gave MC a one-point lead.  Both teams went scoreless over the next minute of play and after two free throws from Suk with 2:41 remaining, the Greyhounds continued to lead by one (61-60) setting up the final run.

Two missed free throws by Wright were followed by three straight turnovers as Moravian had possession still up one with 1:58 to go.  Wright came out of a timeout and scored on a nice inside move in the paint and after misses by both teams over the next two possessions, Wright scored again, this time on a nice feed from O'Rourke to make it a 65-60 game with 58 ticks left.

DSU had looks at three's on the next two possessions around another missed free throw from Moravian but were unable to connect and the Hounds hit 4-for-4 from the charity stripe down the stretch to post the final margin.

The Bulldogs hit just 1-for-12 from three-point land as compared to 6-for-14 for Moravian in the loss.  Senior Megan Gallagher contributed four points, five rebounds, four assists, and seven steals in the loss for DeSales.
