Madison, NJ (December 4, 2013) – FDU-Florham finished the first-half on a 24-2 run and the Bulldogs never recovered falling to the Devils, 84-49, in the first Freedom Conference game of the season for both teams on Wednesday evening.
No one reached double digits for the Bulldogs as freshman

Shalette Brown had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds,
Alyssa McDonough totaled 12 points off the bench, and sophomore

FDU started quickly jumping out to a 10-0 lead before DSU settled down and chipped away at the deficit. DSU was within three (15-12) after a bucket from Glovas and was down by just four (18-14) at the 6:35 mark on a jumper from Grant when FDU started its run.
The Devils immediately pushed the lead back to six points after Grant's bucket starting a 15-0 FDU run. Junior
Alex Suk hit a jumper with 1:27 left in the half but that was DSU's lone basket over the final 6:35 as FDU raced to a 42-18 halftime lead.
The Bulldogs started strong in the second-half using a 10-2 run ignited by a three from Glovas to pull within 52-33 with 12:30. It was still a 19-point game at the 10:30 mark but a 16-0 run over the next four minutes pushed the Devil lead up to 35 and FDU cruised the rest of the way.
DeSales will look to rebound on Saturday when they host Wilkes University in another Freedom Conference game beginning at 1:00 pm.
