	Center Valley, PA (February 12, 2013) – The DeSales University women's basketball team shook off a sluggish start and shot 54.5 percent from the field in the second-half and junior 
Sondrine Glovas erupted for a career-high 34 points leading the Bulldogs past Wilkes University, 72-54, to lock up the third seed in the Freedom Conference playoffs slated to begin next week.
	
	Glovas registered her sixth double-double of the season and the 11th of her career finishing with 34 points and 10 rebounds to go along with five steals.  She shot 12-of-22 from the field and canned 6-of-7 from outside the arc in the win.
	
	Three other Bulldogs reached double digits including senior 
Colleen Gavin with 11 points and six rebounds, junior 
Alexiah Grant with 10 points and six rebounds, and junior 
Megan Gallagher with 11 points, six rebounds, and four steals.  Gallagher caught fire from downtown hitting three 3's, after entering the game with just four treys all season.
	
	Both teams struggled from the field in the opening half as DSU shot just 23.5 percent and the Colonels converted just 32.1 percent as the two combined for 30 turnovers as the Bulldogs clung to a 27-23 lead.  Glovas led the charge with 16 of her 34 tallies in the opening half.
	
	In the second-half DSU led by three (43-40) with 10:21 to play when Glovas and Gallagher went on their own personal 18-4 run with Glovas tallying 13 points and Gallagher the other five giving the Bulldogs a 61-44 lead with 4:35 remaining and DeSales never looked back from there.
	
	The Bulldogs finished the game shooting 38.8 percent from the field and out-rebounded Wilkes, 50-44.  DSU also forced 24 Colonel turnovers leading to 26 Bulldog points.
	
	
Elena Stambone finished with a team-high 16 points and pulled down six boards in the loss.  
Ellen Rich also reached double figures with 11 points and added eight rebounds and four blocks.
	
	The Freedom Conference playoff seedings are now set after Tuesday's results.  FDU-Florham will be the #1 seed and will take on the #4 seed Eastern University, who clinched the final spot thanks to a King's win over Misericordia on Tuesday.  King's College will be the #2 seed and the Bulldogs finish as the third seed and will travel to King's for the opening round of the playoffs next Wednesday, February 20th.  Game time to be announced.
	
	The Bulldogs finish the regular season on Saturday when they host Eastern University beginning at 1:00 pm.
