Center Valley, PA (February 27, 2013) – Senior
Brett Moyer recorded his 11th double-double of the season with 19 points and 14 rebounds leading the DeSales University men's basketball team past local rival Moravian College, 73-60, in the ECAC South Region Tournament quarterfinals on Wednesday evening in Billera Hall.
The second seeded Bulldogs (22-6) extend their season and will take on the third seed, Juniata College, also a winner on Wednesday. Top seed, Albright College, took care of business on Wednesday and will host the Final Four on Saturday and Sunday. The Lions take on LaRoche College in the other semifinal. The semifinals will start with the Bulldogs playing Juniata at 1:00 pm and Albright hosting LaRoche at 3:00 pm on Saturday at Albright. The two winners will meet in the championship game on Sunday at 2:00 pm also at Albright.
Moyer's 11th double-double leaves him one shy of tying the single-season mark of 12 achieved twice. He shot 8-of-10 from the field in the win. Junior
Kyle Hash was the only other Bulldog in double digits with 11 points and also grabbed seven rebounds. Sophomore

Greg Peters each had eight points off the bench as the DSU bench accounted for 35 points and out-scored Moravian, 35-8.
The Bulldogs played a sloppy first-half and trailed by as many as six points twice before cutting the margin down to three points on a Hash three-pointer at the break (32-29). DSU shot just 33.3 percent and was out-rebounded by three, 23-20, over the first twenty minutes.
Moravian continued to lead early in the second-half was up 39-35 at the 17:00 minute mark when DeSales took control using a 24-3 run over the next 10 minutes to put the game away. Griffin scored six straight points during the spurt and Moyer added six points as the two combined for 12 of the 24. Moravian went just 1-for-13 from the field during the stretch.
The Greyhounds (14-12) never got any closer than 13 points as the lead peaked to as many as 19 points down the stretch.
After struggling in the first-half from the floor, DeSales torched the nets, shooting 55.9 percent from the field to finish the game shooting 45.3 percent. After being out-rebounded by three in the first-half, DSU turned it around in the second-half, out-rebounding the Greyhounds by12 to finish the game with a 44-35 edge on the glass.

D.J. Strayhorn led Moravian with a game-high 20 points and added six assists.
Izel Dickerson finished with 13 points and
Cameron Cullen also recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
