DSU went up 5-0 in the seventh when freshman Alec Hardy belted his first career home run down the left-field line scoring senior Derek Chrismer and DeSales answered Swarthmore's lone run in the eighth with another run in the top of the ninth inning on an RBI single from sophomore Nick Fischer.

Fuse finished 3-for-3 with an RBI, Hardy scored twice, and Fischer was 2-for-5 with two runs scored in the win to lead the bat attack.
