Wayne, NJ (September 11, 2013) – The DeSales University field hockey team fell behind early and was unable to recover falling at William Paterson University, 4-1, in a non-conference game on Wednesday evening.

Junior Rachel Wysocky scored DSU's lone goal on a penalty stroke at 58:26.  It was Wysocky's second goal on a stroke this season.

WPU scored just 2:02 into the game and led 2-0 at the break before scoring twice more in the second-half in the 37th and 44th minute.

Sophomore Becky Rasmuson made four saves in the loss.

DSU returns to action on Saturday, September 14th when they host Marywood University in the first home game of the 2013 season beginning at 2:30 pm.
