Doylestown, PA (September 27, 2013) – Delaware Valley College scored three goals in a span of 5:19 mid-way thru the first half en route to a 3-1 win over DeSales University in the Freedom Conference season opener for both teams on Friday afternoon.

The Aggies (7-3, 1-0 Freedom) opened the scoring at 18:48 in the first half as Jessica Summers scored unassisted.  Summers then scored two more goals over the next 5:19 with the last coming at 24:07 to make it a 3-0 game.

Sophomore Meryah Harding cut the deficit back down to two goals at 27:06 scoring off a corner feed from junior Alyssa Malatesta but that ended the scoring as both teams went scoreless in the second half with the Aggies holding on for the 3-1 win.

Sophomore Becky Rasmuson made eight saves in the cage for the Bulldogs.

DSU returns to action on Tuesday, October 1st when they return home hosting Arcadia University beginning at 4:00 pm.
