Sondrine Glovas,

Megan Gallagher combined for 53 of the Bulldogs 76 points in a 76-66 win over Misericordia University in Freedom Conference action on Wednesday evening the Anderson Athletic Center.
Glovas led the charge with 23 points, Grant added 17 points, and Gallagher stuffed the stat sheet with her third double-double of the year, 13 points and 11 rebounds, and added seven steals in the win. Freshman
Morgan McCollian came off the bench to add nine points and five rebounds for the Bulldogs (13-3, 3-2 Freedom).
The Cougars (6-9, 2-3 Freedom) were led by senior
Hannah Seely with 22 points, 18 of which came in the first-half. Freshman
Justine Seely recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds and
Katie Drayton had eight points and seven assists.
DSU started quickly hitting four of its first five three-point attempts to lead 17-11 and later took an 11-point lead (28-17) at the 9:39 mark on a lay-up from McCollian.
The lead was still nine points (32-23) before an 11-1 run gave MU a 34-33 lead but three free throws over the final 42 seconds gave DeSales a 36-34 lead at the break. Glovas had 12 at the half and McCollian added seven of her nine over the first 20 minutes.
After MU tied the game with the first bucket of the second-half, DSU scored six straight points to lead 42-36 on a lay-up from Grant.
The action was back-and-forth for several minutes as the Bulldogs still led by six (61-55) with 6:47 to go when consecutive lay-ups from Grant and Gallagher made it a 10-point game with 5:40 remaining.
Both teams went scoreless over the next three minutes except for one Cougar free throw and DeSales iced the win at the free throw line hitting 9-of-12 from the charity stripe over the final 90 seconds.
DSU shot 38.7 percent from the field and 74.2 percent from the free throw line. After committing 13 turnovers in the first-half, the Bulldogs took much better care of the ball in the second-half committing just five.
DeSales returns to action on Saturday when they return home to host Eastern University in a Freedom Conference game beginning at 1:00 pm.
