Wilkes-Barre, PA (October 4, 2014) – Wilkes University scored with 2:53 left in regulation and the Bulldogs couldn't find the tying marker late falling to the Colonels, 1-0, in the Freedom Conference season opener on Saturday evening.
 An innocent flick by 
Geoffrey Arentz inside the box just squirted past a charging Bulldog keeper late in the second-half as the ball slowly rolled into the net giving Wilkes the win. 
Wilkes finished the game out-shooting DeSales, 13-10, while both teams had seven corner kicks.  Senior 
Colin Sulpizio made six saves in the loss. 
The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday, October 8
th when they travel to Franklin & Marshall College for a non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
