Lancaster, PA (October 8, 2014) – Seventh ranked Franklin & Marshall College scored in the 84
th minute breaking a scoreless tie and holding on late to earn a 1-0 win over the DeSales University men's soccer team on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.
F&M (11-0-1) dominated play most of the game out-shooting the Bulldogs (5-7-1), 28-4, for the game. The Dips, however, were unable to get one past senior goalkeeper
Colin Sulpizio until the 84
th minute when
Chris Scott scored off an assist from
Ben Wild.
Following the goal, DSU was able to increase its offensive pressure and got off three of its four shots but were unable to connect for the tying marker.
Sulpizio made nine saves in the loss.
DeSales returns to action on Saturday when they host King's College in a Freedom Conference game beginning at Noon.
