Sienna Heist each had nine kills leading the DeSales University volleyball team past Delaware Valley College, 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-16), in Freedom Conference action on Tuesday evening.
The Bulldogs (16-7, 3-1 Freedom) have now won 12-straight over the Aggies (3-15, 0-4 Freedom). DSU cruised in sets one and three and fought off an early surge by DVC in the second set tying the score at 18 and out-lasting the Aggies in the end.
Heist had nine kills in just 19 attempts to hit .474, while Blessing hit .231 for the match. Senior
Chrissy Banos had eight kills and hit .389, while freshman
Logan Wieziolowski had 6 kills and led the way with eight blocks. Senior
Brooke Horrigan added four blocks.
Freshman
Bernadette Wood led the defense with 15 digs, senior
Amanda Wallitsch added 14 digs, and sophomore
Lisa Wallitsch finished with 32 assists and three service aces.
The Bulldogs are off this weekend and don't return to action till next Wednesday when they host Wilkes University in a Freedom Conference match beginning at 7:00 pm.
