Center Valley, PA, (November 4, 2014) – The DeSales University women's soccer team will begin post-season play on Wednesday as the top seeded Bulldogs will play host to #4 King's College in the semifinals of the Freedom Conference Tournament beginning at 2:00 pm.
The Bulldogs will enter the game with a 9-5-4 overall record and a 6-0-1 mark in the Freedom Conference. DSU earned the top seed after finishing tied at the top with Misericordia University by virtue of its three-goal win over Delaware Valley College (the #3 seed) with the Cougars defeating the Aggies by just two goals.
There will be admission for the event with ticket prices set at $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for senior citizens, and $2.00 for students. All DeSales students with a valid school ID will be admitted for FREE. All children under the age of six will also be admitted for free.

DeSales/King's All-Time Series:DeSales owns a 15-3 lead in the all-time series between the two teams and is 9-0 vs. the Lady Monarchs at home. This will be the first career meeting between the two schools in the post-season.

Jess Wetherhold connected for the tying and game-winning goals late. Walsh finished the game with two goals and an assist as DSU had a 10-5 advantage in shots on goal for the game.

DeSales in the Freedom Conference post-season:This is DeSales fourth career appearance in the conference post-season and the first since the 2008 season. It will be just the second ever home game played as the Bulldogs hosted Wilkes University in the #4/#5 game back in 2008 when five teams qualified for the conference tournament. DSU is 0-3 in its previous three appearances including one-goal losses in 2006 and 2008.
About the Bulldogs:Walsh leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 16 goals and three assists for 35 points…she is two goals shy of tying the single-season record for goals (18) and four points shy of tying the single-season record for points (39)…Walsh became just the second player in team history to record 100+ career points earlier this season and enters Wednesday's game with 108 career points…Wetherhold is second in scoring with three goals and seven assists despite missing the first eight games of the year with a leg injury…she is one assist shy of tying the single-season mark (8) and the Bulldogs are 7-1-2 overall in games that she has played…overall 12 different players have scored a goal for the Bulldogs this season…defensively DSU has seen three of its four defenders start all 18 games including sophomore

About the Lady Monarchs:King's finished the regular season tied for fourth place with Wilkes University and FDU-Florham but earned the tiebreaker with wins over each of those teams…
