Grant scored 12 of her 16 tallies in the second-half, while Glovas (15 pts, 11 reb.) and Gallagher (10 pts., 12 reb.) also played well. Junior

DSU raced out of the gates opening up an 11-3 lead on a running lay-up from Scott 5:32 into the game and pushed the lead to 16 points (25-9) at the 8:46 mark on a three-point play from Suk. The lead never went below 12 the rest of the half and a lay-up from Glovas with 14 seconds left made it a 37-19 game at the break.
King's shot just 21.9 percent from the field in the opening half, while the Bulldogs hit 37.5 percent and dominated the glass out-rebounding the Lady Monarchs, 36-17, over the first twenty minutes.
KC shot much better in the second-half, chipping away at the lead several times but was never able to get the lead down to double digits. It was a 12-point game at the 14:41 mark when Glovas answered with a three on the other end and it was down to 10-points twice including the last time at the 5:28 mark before a Suk lay-up and three from Grant pushed the lead up to 15 points with just under five minutes to play.
DSU finished the game shooting just 34.7 percent but committed a season-low five turnovers and continued to control the backboards holding a 55-39 edge on the glass. King's finished the game shooting 34.4 percent after hitting 48.3 percent in the second-half.
The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday when they host Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game beginning at 6:00 pm.
