Center Valley, PA (February 15, 2014) – #8 FDU-Florham shot 52.9 percent from the field and answered a second-half run by the Bulldogs with a 23-4 game-ending run snapping the Bulldogs five-game win streak with an 87-57 win in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon in Billera Hall.

Senior Alexiah Grant led the Bulldogs (18-5, 8-4 Freedom) with 16 points and freshman Morgan McCollian added a season-high 13 points in the loss.  Seniors Megan Gallagher and Sondrine Glovas both totaled 11 points to round out DSU's double digit scoring.

FDU (23-0, 12-0) got 16 points from Shalette Brown, 15 tallies from Jalessa Lewis, 12 points from Kyra Dayon, and 11 points from Leigh-Ann Lively to lead the way.  Brown also pulled down a game-high eight rebounds and had four steals and Lewis dished out eight assists.

DeSales started strong opening up an 11-6 lead on a lay-up from Glovas five minutes into the game before the Devils responded with 10-0 run over the next 3:28 to take a 16-11 lead.

It was still just a six-point game (25-19) with 6:54 left in the half after a lay-up from McCollian before FDU went on a 15-2 run over the next 3:47 to push a six-point lead quickly into a 19-point lead with 3:07 left to play and the Devils went to the locker room leading, 42-24.

FDU pushed its lead up to 26 points at the 13:32 mark of the second-half when the Bulldogs made a run, embarking on a 20-5 spurt over the span of 5:22 to pull within 11 points (64-53) and forcing a Devil timeout.

From the point forward it was all FDU as DeSales scored just four points over the final eight minutes and the Devil's finished the game on a 23-4 run to post the final tally.

Florham shot better than 50 percent in both halves and hit 43.8 percent from the three-point line (7-for-16).  The Devil's also dominated the glass, out-rebounding DeSales, 39-23.  The Bulldogs did force 20 Devil turnovers, leading to 19 points.

DSU finds itself in a three-way tie for second place with Eastern University and Delaware Valley College heading into the final week of the season in which they travel to Wilkes on Tuesday and Eastern on Saturday.  Two wins and one Delaware Valley College loss will give the Bulldogs the #2 seed and a home game in the Freedom Conference semifinals in two weeks.  Del. Val. travels to Manhattanville on Tuesday and hosts the undefeated Devils in the final game of the regular season on Saturday.

Game time for Tuesday's tilt at Wilkes is set for 6:00 pm.
