Center Valley, PA (March 26, 2014) – Richard Stockton College scored seven straight goals over the first 22 minutes and a second-half rally by the Bulldogs came up short with the Ospreys holding on for an 11-8 win over the DeSales University men's lacrosse team on a frigid and extremely windy Wednesday afternoon.

RSC (8-2 overall) scored four unanswered goals in the first quarter and tallied three more over the first 7:49 of the second quarter to open up a 7-0 lead.  Senior James Guerrier helped DSU (0-7) gain the momentum heading into the locker room with two goals over the final 4:51 to pull the Bulldogs within five tallies (7-2) at the break.

Senior Evan Burns scored the first goal of the second-half but the Ospreys answered with two of their own to make it a 9-3 game.  The two teams traded goals over the next 15 minutes before the Bulldogs scored three straight in a span of 58 seconds to pull within three (11-8) with 3:36 left to play but were unable to find the back of the net the rest of the way.

Guerrier played well totaling three goals and four assists for seven points to lead DeSales.  Junior Ryan Loughlin had three goals, Burns finished with one goal and two assists, and freshman Justin Wilson totaled a goal and an assist in the loss.  Junior Dylan Baxter picked up eight ground balls and won 11-of-22 face-offs for the Bulldogs.

Freshman Tyle Davis had two caused turnovers and fellow freshman Tyler Ornstein finished with nine saves in between the pipes.

The Bulldogs are right back in action on Friday when they travel to Immaculata University for a non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
