Center Valley, PA (April 16, 2014) – The change in temperature affected the DeSales University bats on Wednesday afternoon as the Bulldog offense went cold, managing just two hits, in an 8-1 loss to Moravian College in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

DSU (15-13) scored just one run on a base hit from junior Nick Fischer in the first inning to fall to the Greyhounds (24-6) who were able to record 10 hits and score eight runs in the win.

MC took a 2-1 lead after one inning and two singles and a hit by pitch and added two more in the fourth frame on a walk, hit batter, a double, and Bulldog error.  The Greyhounds then scored in each of the final three innings to provide the final tally.

Sophomore Steven Wallace took the loss allowing four runs and just four hits over five innings but walked three and hit three more.  Fischer and freshman Tyler Sweeney had DSU's two hits.

The Bulldogs return to action on Thursday afternoon when they host Eastern University in a Freedom Conference game beginning at 3:30 pm.
