St. David's, PA (April 26, 2014) – Eastern University scored six goals in each of the first three quarters en route to a 20-3 win over the DeSales University men's lacrosse team in the final regular season Freedom Conference game on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (5-10, 4-2 Freedom) finish the regular season as the #2 seed in the Freedom Conference Men's Lacrosse Tournament which begins on Tuesday.  DSU will host one of the two semifinal games, its first home playoff game in team history, taking on King's College with game time set for 4:00 pm.  Eastern finished as the top seed and will host FDU-Florham in the other semifinal on Tuesday.

Eastern (12-4, 6-0 Freedom) dominated play on Saturday out-shooting the Bulldogs, 57-15, in the game and picking up 58 ground balls as compared to just 23 for DeSales.  EU also won 21-of-26 face-offs and scored on 3-of-5 extra-man opportunities.

Junior Ryan Loughlin, freshman Justin Wilson, and senior Bruce Peditto scored DSU's three goals, while junior Lance Bracale and freshman Sean Palen each had an assist.  Sophomore Matt Warnken made 11 saves in just one half of play for the Bulldogs.

The playoff game on Tuesday will be just DSU's third career playoff game and the first one at home.  DSU lost in the semifinals last year to Misericordia University in double overtime, 8-7.
