Box Score Season Photo GalleryCenter Valley, PA (April 6, 2014) – Manhattanville College scored five runs over the first three innings and held on late salvaging game three of the weekend series with the Bulldogs, 7-4, in Freedom Conference action on Sunday afternoon at Butz Field. 
Sophomore 
Chris Polaski took the loss allowing eight hits and five runs over three innings for his first loss of the season.  Junior 
Eric Elmer pitched well in the loss tossing 3.2 innings of scoreless relief allowing just two hits and striking out two. 
MVC scored twice in the second inning on four singles and added three more runs in the third on three singles and a double.  DSU chipped away at the lead with two runs in the third and fifth to pull within 5-4.  In the third, junior 
Drew Borger had an RBI single and freshman 
Tommy DePaul drove in Borger two batters later.  In the fifth senior 
Brian Mauro doubled home Borger and sophomore 
Carrington Santana scored on an error by the Valiant shortstop. 
The Valiants got two runs back in the top of the sixth inning on the strength of four singles before Elmer retired the last 11 batters he faced but the Bulldogs were unable to rally over the final four frames.  DSU did load the bases with two outs in the seventh but junior 
Nick Fischer flied out to left field ending the threat. 
Borger, DePaul, and Mauro recorded all nine hits for the Bulldogs in the loss. 
DSU is scheduled to return to action on Monday, April 7
th when they travel to Neumann University for a non-conference game beginning at 3:30 pm.
