Eric Dillard earned his first win of the season pitching seven strong innings allowing just one unearned run leading the DeSales University baseball team past Swarthmore College, 10-1, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.
Dillard allowed just three hits over seven frames, surrendering an unearned run in the first inning, walking just one and fanning three. Senior

Tyler Harris each pitched scoreless innings to finish the game.
DeSales (10-10) answered the Garnet's (13-11) run in the top of the first inning with one its own when junior
Jonathan Bujtas singled home freshman
Tommy DePaul who had singled and stole second base.
The Bulldogs then took the lead for good in the second inning with three runs on four hits including RBI singles from freshman
Mike Kacergis and sophomore
Carrington Santana.
DSU added two more runs in the fifth on a Garnet throwing error and a sacrifice fly from sophomore
Alec Hardy and played four runs in the seventh including a two-RBI triple from senior
Mark Fuse to post the final tally.
Bujtas, Fuse, Kacergis, and freshman
Tyler Sweeney all had two hits in the win. Freshman
Jesse Smoot, Bujtas, Hardy, DePaul, and Fuse each scored twice and Fuse led the way with two RBIs as seven different players knocked in runs.
The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow when they host Susquehanna University in another non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
