Gwynedd-Valley, PA (September 16, 2014) – Two goals in a span of 3:06 early in the second-half lifted the DeSales University men's soccer team past Gwynedd-Mercy College, 2-0, to even DSU's record to 3-3-1 overall on the season.
After a scoreless first-half that saw the Bulldogs dominate play out-shooting GMC (0-6), 6-2, DSU struck 5:32 into the second-half as freshman
Aaron Povlow scored his first career goal off an assist from sophomore
Alex Peek.
Just 3:36 later in the 54
th minute Peek added an insurance goal, his first of the season, on an assist from freshman
Alan Smith and DeSales cruised home from there.
The Bulldogs out-shot Gwynedd-Mercy, 17-6, as all six shots from the Griffins were off target as senior
Colin Sulpizio earned the shutout without needing to make a save. DSU also had a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.

th when they travel to Alvernia University for a non-conference game starting at 1:00 pm.
