Churchman Records Fourth Shutout in 0-0 Tie at Widener

Chester, PA (September 20, 2014) – Senior Michelle Churchman record her fourth shutout of the season as the DeSales University women's soccer team saw its offense unable to come up with a goal leading to the Bulldogs second 0-0 tie of the season at Widener University on Saturday evening.
 
The Bulldogs (2-4-2) out-shot Widener, 13-9, and had a 5-2 edge in corner kicks but were unable to score for the sixth game this season.
 
Churchman made five saves to record her fourth shutout of the year and the ninth in her career as she ranks third all-time now.  The individual season record for shutouts in a season is seven as Churchman moves past the halfway point of breaking that record.
 
The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday, September 24th when they host Moravian College beginning at 4:00 pm.
