Center Valley, PA (September 27, 2014) – Sophomore
Wes Frebel scored the lone goal of the game on a penalty kick in the 21
st minute lifting the DeSales University men's soccer team past Berkeley College (NJ), 1-0, on homecoming Saturday afternoon.
After a foul was drawn in the box on corner kick, Frebel stepped up to take the free kick and scored in the upper right corner for his third goal of the season. He is now tied atop the Bulldogs scoring leaders with fellow sophomore
Alex Peek who also has six points on the year.
DSU finished the game with a slight 15-14 edge in shots but a 5-1 edge in shots on goal in the win. DSU also enjoyed an 8-1 edge in corner kicks.
Senior
Colin Sulpizio made the only save necessary to record his fourth shutout of the season.
DeSales is back on the pitch on Wednesday, October 1
st when they host Albright College beginning at 4:00 pm.
