Center Valley, PA (January 19, 2014) - The DeSales University baseball team embarked on a five day trip to the Dominican Republic in early January, 2015. While there, they played five games against Dominican teams such as the Army, Police, Navy, Air Force, and a team comprised of players currently playing in the United States professional baseball system.
 
The players and coaches also ran a baseball clinic for local children to teach them the basics of the sport and allow them to try their skills at every position on the field. This event was fun for the children, but equally if not more fun for the DeSales players as they enjoyed making friends and playing the game.
 
The team learned about the baseball culture in the Dominican Republic, met some current and former professional players, and even attended a Dominican winter league professional payoff game.
