Emily Hoats and the DeSales University women's soccer defense recorded its fourth straight shutout blanking Manhattanville College, 2-0, in MAC Freedom action on Tuesday afternoon.

Angelica Bertola got DSU on the board in the 33
rd minute taking a nice pass thru the Valiant (4-8, 0-3 MAC Freedom) defense by sophomore
Gabby Lucchese and beating a charging keeper inside the far post for her ninth tally of the year. That one goal lead stood into the half.
Just 3:18 into the second-half the Bulldogs drew a foul in the box and junior
Eve Barna connected for her second goal of the season on the ensuing penalty kick giving DSU an insurance goal and the DeSales defense did the rest in the win.
DSU had an 18-10 advantage in shots and an 8-3 lead in corner kicks for the game. Hoats made six saves extended her scoreless streak to 371:05 collecting her fourth individual shutout in the win.
The Bulldogs will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Eastern University for another MAC Freedom game beginning at 11:00 am.
