Purchase, NY (October 21, 2015) – The DeSales University field hockey team couldn't overcome a quick start at Manhattanville College falling to the Valiants, 4-0, in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Valiants (6-11, 1-4 MAC Freedom) scored three of their four goals over the first 11:34 and never looked back in the win.  MVC got on the board just 1:15 into the game as Bregje Smits scored her first of three goals in the win.
 
MVC added another tally at 52:56 of the second-half finishing the game with a 17-7 advantage in shots and a 14-4 edge in penalty corners.
 
Freshman Savanna Lacek made five stops in goal for the Bulldogs.
 
The Bulldogs return home on Saturday when they host FDU-Florham in the first-ever game played on the stadium turf field beginning at Noon.
