Tommy DePaul went 4-for-4 with four stolen bases leading an 11-hit attack in a 9-4 win over Lebanon Valley College on Tuesday afternoon at Butz Field in non-conference action.
The Bulldogs (13-11) scored early, plating two runs in each of the first two innings to take a 4-0 lead. Sophomore
Mike Kacergis had an RBI single in the first inning and freshman
Hunter Hart and junior
Colby Kulig each knocked in runs in the second inning.
LVC (8-16) got back into the game in the third inning scoring three times but two runs in the fourth and two more in the sixth put DSU up 8-3 putting the game away. In the fourth Kulig and freshman
Conner Lafferty each knocked in runs with RBI singles and Kulig knocked in two more runs in the sixth with a two-RBI double.
Sophomore
Andrew Schuler earned the win pitching seven strong innings allowing seven hits and two earned runs, striking out four.
DePaul scored four times out of the leadoff spot, Hart had two hits, two runs scored, and two RBIs, and Kulig knocked in four runs and had two doubles.
The Bulldogs are right back in action tomorrow when they travel to Moravian College for a non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
