Danni Engwall and junior
Jess Wetherhold each scored two goals and added an assist as the DeSales University women's soccer team opened the 2015 season with a dominating 7-0 win over Keystone College on Tuesday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (1-0 overall) out-shot the Giants (0-1 overall) 33-2 for the game and held a 12-1 edge in corner kicks.
Engwall opened the scoring in the 16
th minute on a short inside the far post off an assist from senior
Jamie Barna. Wetherhold then made it 2-0 in the 38
th minute with a shot over the goalkeeper's head from about 30 yards out as DSU took the two goal lead into the half.
The Bulldogs opened the game up in the second-half scoring five times as freshman
Erin Crystal tallied her first goal of the season in the 61
st minute off an assist from Engwall and Engwall and Wetherhold each added their second goals of the game to make it 5-0 in the 69
th minute.

Brooke Terplan also scored in the win and senior
Lauren Yost added an assist for her first career point off the bench.

Haley Jacobs did not need to make a save in recording a shutout in her first career start in between the pipes.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Friday afternoon when they travel to Cairn University with the start time set for 4:00 pm.
