Center Valley, PA (September 12, 2015) – The DeSales University men's soccer team was blanked 3-0 by old conference rival Drew University in a rain soaked home opener on Saturday afternoon.
In a game marred by torrential flooding rains all game long, Drew (5-0) was able to score one goal in the first-half and two more in a span of 1:17 in the second-half to provide the final tally.
The game also featured 45 total fouls and seven combined yellow cards as slick field conditions made for often sloppy play.
Drew owned a 14-8 edge in shots for the game, while the Bulldogs (2-3) had a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks for the game.
Junior
Ryan O'Neill made six saves for DeSales in between the pipes.
The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday when they host Gwynedd-Mercy University in another non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
