Chelsea DeFrancisco scored her first career tying the game late but a late goal by Moravian upended the Bulldogs, 2-1, in the season opener for both teams on Wednesday afternoon.
Moravian controlled play in the first-half with a 9-3 edge in shots but couldn't find a goal as the game was scoreless into halftime.
MC struck first just 1:20 into the second-half as
Kelly O'Donnell pushed home a pass into an open cage and the Greyhounds controlled play for the first 10 minutes before DSU went on the offensive.

Meryah Harding nearly tied the game in the 58
th minute before MC's
Shauna Poling recorded a defensive save on the goal line but the Bulldogs did tie the game at one just 2:03 later when DeFrancisco was on the post for a Harding shot that caromed straight down off the frame and DeFrancisco was there to push it home.
Moravian wasted no time re-taking the lead scoring just 1:04 later and DSU was unable to find a second equalizer in the loss.
Moravian had a 25-11 advantage in shots and a 16-4 edge in penalty corners. Freshman
Savanna Lacek was outstanding in goal in her first collegiate game making 13 saves.
DeSales returns to action on Saturday when they host Gettysburg College in the first official game on the brand new artificial turf beginning at 1:00 pm.
